Terms of sale

These terms cover buying and using TinyRocket, a macOS application sold by Flash Media Solutions, Inc. (“we”, “us”). The terms that apply to you are the ones published here on the day you buy. Please read the privacy notice and the refund policy as well — they form part of these terms.

The one-time purchase

A license to use TinyRocket, paid once. The license is perpetual: the app does not expire, and it does not stop working if you never pay us again. What is included for one year from purchase is new threat data — updates to the known-bad list the app checks links against. After that year the app keeps working with the data it already has.

  • One Mac per license, plus any additional Macs you paid for at the time of purchase or later.
  • You may move a license between Macs you own as often as you like.
  • The license is for you or your organization. Please do not share it with people outside it, resell it, or publish it.

The trial

The 14-day free trial lets you test TinyRocket with no card or signup before paying. When the trial ends, local link checking continues with the threat data already on your Mac. Cloud Check stops when the free trial ends. A one-time license includes one year of fresh threat-data updates; it does not include Cloud Check.

Updates

Updates to TinyRocket 1.x are included at no cost, for as long as we publish them. We are not promising to publish them forever, and we are not promising any particular feature or timescale. If there is ever a paid major version, your existing license keeps working on the version it covers — it does not stop working because a newer one exists.

Flight Check acceptable use

Flight Check is an optional, capacity-limited service that makes one bounded GET-only inspection of the exact address you submit from an isolated remote browser. It is never unlimited, and no particular allowance or availability is promised. The app shows the applicable allowance and asks for fresh consent before each address; scanner admission is authoritative. Once remote navigation is committed, the check counts even if you cancel or the report is incomplete. A verified never-contacted attempt returns the visit allowance but may still count against a separate infrastructure-attempt limit.

You may use Flight Check only for lawful, authorized security checking. By submitting an address, you confirm that you are authorized to submit that exact address for this bounded inspection and that doing so does not violate law, contract, confidentiality or another person’s rights. You must not use or try to adapt Flight Check to attack, disrupt, overload or evade controls; discover or exploit vulnerabilities; gain unauthorized access; collect another person’s private data; test credentials; automate scanning; distribute malware; or support fraud or other unlawful activity. The service will not enter credentials, submit forms, approve prompts, launch external apps or run downloaded files. You must not try to make it do so or use one-time links where the remote visit itself would be unauthorized or harmful. We may refuse, stop or investigate a job and suspend or withdraw Flight Check access where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse, protect people or systems, comply with law, or contain a security incident. Local link checking remains available as described under Ending the license.

A Flight Check can consume a one-time link, trigger tracking or other destination effects, and its report covers only one visit from one scanner vantage. It cannot prove that a page is safe and does not replace your judgement or permission from the system owner. The privacy notice explains the exact data flow, AWS processing, encryption and deletion boundary.

Requirements, and what we do not promise

TinyRocket needs macOS 14.4 or later. It is provided as is. It surfaces indicators and leaves the decision with you: we do not warrant that it identifies every dangerous link, remains uninterrupted or error-free, or works with every app or future version of macOS. Specifically: TinyRocket cannot and does not guarantee that you will never reach a harmful link. It shortens the odds and shows its reasoning; it does not replace your own judgement, and you agree to keep using it. You confirm exactly this understanding at checkout.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with TinyRocket is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything here.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Full card or bank credentials go to Stripe. TinyRocket receives transaction and limited receipt or support facts as described in the privacy notice. Prices are shown in US dollars. Depending on where you are, checkout adds any applicable tax and shows it before payment.

Ending the license

We may withdraw a license if it was obtained fraudulently, if the payment was refunded or reversed, or if it is being distributed publicly. Otherwise it is yours.

Withdrawing a license stops further Macs being added to it and issues a signed withdrawal that the app records the next time that Mac contacts us. Local link checking continues with the threat data already on that Mac; licensed network services and fresh threat-data updates stop. We do not reach into your computer: a Mac that does not contact us again does not receive the signed withdrawal.

If we stop

If selling or support ends, licenses already sold keep working. This is a design decision, not a promise we are asking you to trust: your license is a signed file your Mac checks by itself, and it does not need our servers to be running.

Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms that apply to you are the ones published when you bought. Material changes carry a date at the top of this page.
